1. What is the Difference Between Classic and Luxe 

Luxe vs Classic 

Both classic and Luxe towels are amazing in their features and the same size in diameter. 

 

Luxe collection are two sided and reversable pattern, or have more detail in the loom (ie. extra stitching, hand dyed tie dye). They are slightly thicker than the classic towel but still very compact. 

 

Classic towels are one sided and the same pattern on both sides of the towel. This style is the most compact and considered "standard" of Turkish towels.  

Do both styles function the same? 

Yes! both styles are absorbent, fast drying and versatile in their uses. Classic towels may perform better as a sarong since they are slightly thinner. Both styles will pack small and be a perfect travel companion. We have, use and love both and recommend choosing the pattern that you love the most. 

2. Are they really absorbent and sand-free? 

It is almost to hard to believe right?

Just like your current terry towel, Turkish Towels are also 100% cotton. The difference is Turkish towels removed the loop allowing them to be lighter, compact yet still a very absorbent cotton material. 

Because we source our towels from a quality manufacturer in Turkey, we have only the best quality cotton in our products. They are pre-washed so they will be absorbent with first use. With each wash however, they will become even more absorbent. We do reccomend no fabric softener as this coats the fibers and blocks absorption in any material. 

What is the material of this product?

All of our towels are 100% Turkish cotton or Organic Turkish cotton. Sourced and Made in Turkey. 

But how can they be sand free? 

Turkish Towels are flat woven and loomed so sand has nothing to grip to, the sand will shake right off these towels like magic. 

3. Are there different sizes? 

Our towels are generally the same size regardless of luxe vs classic. The looming process is what determines the size, depending on the loom and pattern is where the size fluctuation is determined.

All of our towels are pre-washed and will not shrink, fade or color bleed and are generous oversized towels in the most common size of 40"x70". Very few patterns will be a little more narrow than the standard. Please check the dimensions on the product page. 

4. Do all of the towels have tassels/fringe? 

With very few exceptions all of our towels have Tassels because they are loomed and not sewn. The material is made in small batches and each one unique.  The best part about this is the tassels are hand tied. This is what makes Turkish towels distinguished, unique and beautiful .

Why Turkish Towels vs Microfiber Towels? 

We love and use Turkish towels because they are made from natural cotton instead of synthetic/plastic microfiber material. Turkish towels will not catch on dry skin, they are as soft as your favorite T-shirt and will contour around you like your favorite blanket. Turkish towels are lightweight, airy,  fast drying, and do not attract mildew smell like synthetic microfiber. They have been a favorite in Turkey, Asia, and all of Europe for hundreds of years. 

6. Wash and Care 

How do I care for my Turkish towels? Can I machine wash them? 

YES!! Turkish towels are made with high-quality cotton and get softer with every wash. For best results, machine wash on cold with like colors and tumble dry low or hang to air-dry.

Avoid fabric softeners, as they can reduce absorbency.

 

We suggest simply hang drying towels in between outings , you will be surprised how long they stay smelling fresh and mildew free!
